You are stronger than you think. I’m here to help you realize that strength when you need it most.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR BIRTH

I am trained in different coping techniques to help the birthing person get into the swing of birth including positioning for progression labor.

I have a “bag full of tricks” to make your birth as memorable as possible, including an ancient Mexican Rebozo. I often get complimented on the ambiance of the room—picture this: dim fairy lights, the smell of lavender and clary sage (or whichever essential oil of your preference), music of your choice playing softly in the background, and birth affirmations scattered around your birthing space. My goal is to make it feel like your haven, your safe space to labor how you desire. The calming aromas and feel of the room not only help the laboring person, but their partner, myself (their doula), visitors and medical staff. Oxytocin is vital for everything to do with labor and birth, and I do everything I've been trained to do—and so much more—to ensure that vital hormone is constantly flowing!

While I am there to support as much as needed, my goal is to also empower the birthing person’s partner by showing them coping mechanisms regarding pain relief support. By showing a partner ways in which they can help make this the best birth experience for the laboring person, I often find us tag-teaming and working in unison while the magic of birth takes place.

Setting up a birth space

One of my favorite things to do is set up a calming birth space leaving everyone feeling relaxed and ready to embrace this momentous experience!
