Childbirth Education Classes

In my years of being a doula I found that there is a direct correlation between clients who were educated in their options for childbirth; knowing what to expect during labor and postpartum - to having a happier reflection on their birth stories. Birth is not linear; it doesn’t always go as we intend. There are numerous variables, interventions & options that can be daunting when we simply aren’t armed with the information we need. My classes are taught with the intention to build your foundational knowledge & equip you with all of the information needed so that you feel confident in your decisions during the birthing process!

The Whole Birth Caboodle

This includes 6 sessions of privately-instructed classes (2 hours each) that covers all aspects to do with birth.

• Preparing for Birth Journal

• The Holistic Stages of Labor

• Pregnancy exercises & movements to prepare for birth

• Toolbox of ALL comfort measures (partners take notes!)

• Preparation for the third stage of labor (pushing!)

• Prepared Feeding Course - (Infant bottle & breastfeeding course instructed by an IBCLC)

Deep Dive into Birth

A 2-day (weekend) course broken into 4-hour sessions taught privately in your home. This course aims to adequately prepare both the birthing person & their partner for what to expect.

• 8 hours of course material

• Prepared Feeding Course - (Infant bottle & breastfeeding course)

• Advice & tips on creating a Birth Preferences Plan

Birth Basics (Crash Course)

Planning an upcoming hospital birth? Has it been a few years since your last birth? This 4-hour course is for you! This class is taught privately in your home.

INCLUDES:

• 4 hours of course material

• Positioning and comfort measures for birth

• Advice & tips on creating a Birth Preferences Plan

• Evidence-Based Resources: Knowing the the latest research will provide you the confidence in foundational knowledge to make the best decisions for you and your baby.
