History
Hello there! My name is Bianke and I've started Birthing B with a very specific purpose: to help women find their own inner strength during their birthing journey. Every mamma should feel empowered and informed, no matter their location, color, education, background.
I'm originally from South Africa and lived there half of my childhood, immigrating to the US when I was 11 years old. I'm married (also to a South African!) and a mamma of two boys Nathan Donovan and Landon Nicholas.
After my first birth experience I knew I wanted to become a doula.
To have that constant support by your side during labor is invaluable to both the birthing person and their partner. The word doula actually goes back hundreds of years and has the meaning "to serve". Oh, what joy it brings me to know Iβve served a mother and baby in their sacred time of acquaintance!
A doula bridges the gap -gives you all of the options you should be made aware of- and leaves you feeling loved, cared for and supported. Hiring a doula is beneficial and statistically has been proven to lower your risk of a C-section by about 30%. I'm all about evidence-based practice and am constantly learning more about pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding and postpartum mental health. I'm trained and certified through BEST.
I'm currently accepting new clients and work primarily in North Dallas but will travel up to an hour to meet and serve my clients.
If you or your partner is currently pregnant and would like a free consultation please fill out the contact sheet or shoot my a mail at birthingbdoula@gmail.com.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
XO
